AUTHORS

David Ezon

Abstract

Acquisition and interpretation of echocardiographic data in children with atrioventricular septal defect is of great importance in guiding clinical management and surgical repair. Properly demonstrating the various septal components of the defect as well as the morphology of the atrioventricular valvar apparatus can be challenging and requires understanding of basic imaging principles. This module reviews echocardiography of atrioventricular septal defects.
