A note from Dr. Kim:
My name is Michael Kim and I am currently a third year categorical pediatric cardiology fellow at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. I am originally from Cincinnati and left during my college years and completed my medical school degree in Chicago followed by residency in Milwaukee and am now home. I am currently planning on pursuing a career in cardiac critical care and will be pursuing a 2-year PICU fellowship in Toronto after completing my training this year. In addition to research in cardiac critical care, my academic interests include medical education, simulation, and digital health. I am currently finishing my Master’s in Medical Education this year. I started working with Heart University during my first year and developed an interest curriculum content creation for trainees via the CICU and surgical modules. I am honored to be a part of the editorial board and hope to continue my work developing the fellows’ curriculum in creating a robust asynchronous learning environment by building an online question bank and lesion-based modules. In the future I hope Heart University becomes an indispensable resource for trainees by thinking of creative solutions with increasing user engagement and interactivity beyond individual learning activities.
